Messages or portents, love charms or talismans ... the amalgams of bones, plants and shells that form the series Mojos read as signs or ciphers in a language that we do not yet completely understand. Diverse natural objects have been taken out of context and reassembled in unexpected ways to provoke inquiry: Who are these beings, and what do they want? If the earth's inarticulate creatures could speak to us, what would they say?
